My fine art photography is largely what I shoot for my own satisfaction. I've almost always lived in urban settings, and so naturally have a lot of urban themes.

Urban textures have always fascinated me, how many cities can be identified and differentiated by the repeating patterns in their built environment, or their open spaces. I call this their textures. Some cities can be similar (say New York and Hong Kong) and some dramatically different (Shanghai and New Delhi).
‘Urbanscapes’ is a word I coined, to represent for urban settings, what landscapes represent for natural settings. Vast, sweeping areas of the urban life and environment, juxtaposed against the world they are set in.
